Marilyn Price

Bio
As a career artist/teacher, Marilyn Price has received national recognition for her work.  She's shown in more than 150 juried and invitational exhibitions and has completed over 50 major textile comissions throughout the U. S.  Among the collectors of her work are the White House, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indiana State Museum, Eli Lilly and Company, Phillip Morris, Jane Blaffer Owen of Houston, and Purdue University.  Her collaborative work with internationally-known artist Miriam Schapiro is featured in the collection "The Artist and the Quilt."

Studying in San Miguel Allende in Mexico, traveling throughout Central America and parts of Europe, and working from the natural beauty of northern Michigan, have provided rich material for her journals, oil pastels, paintings and textiles.  One of her published journals, "Machu Picchu: an Artist's Journal" is available and featured on the Machu Picchu Journal page, and examples of her artwork are presented as posts on the Home Page.

A number of her northern Michigan oil pastels can be found at the Tamarack Gallery in Omena, MI, and the Dennos Museum in Traverse City, MI.
